How to swap-out inactive products of a Kitset

This Help Article covers:

Inactive Products are products that are no longer available from JA Russell's Ltd, this means: the Product's Cost Price has not Updated since the Product was discontinued, the Product is not available to purchase and alternative Products may cost more.

There are two types of Kitsets:

  • Master Kitsets - Code displays as “whole numbers”, and

  • Installer Kitsets - Code displays as “whole number" + "point numbers”

Master Kitsets are maintained by NZ Trade Group, so NZ Trade Group will Swap-Out any Inactive Products of a Kitset.

Installer Kitsets are maintained by the User, so You will need to Swap-Out any Inactive Products of a Kitset.

Kitsets with Inactive Products will display a red line to the left of the Kitset Line on the Kitset List. (Within the Kitset, the Inactive Product Line will also display a redline).

To Find Kitsets with Inactive Products

Quick Flow:

  • Kitsets Side Menu List

  • Refine Filter

  • Products = Contains Inactive

  • [VIEW RESULTS]

1. From the Kitsets Side Menu List, Press the Refine filter to display the Refine Filters options

2. From the "Products" field of Refine Filters, Select Contains Inactive, then Press [VIEW RESULTS] to display a list of Kitsets containing Inactive Products

To Swap-Out Inactive Products

Quick Flow:

  • Kitset > Open

  • [EDIT KITSET]

  • Delete the Inactive Product > Delete "Bin"

  • Add the new Product

  • [SAVE]

1. From the list of Kitsets containing Inactive Products, Press on a Kitset to open

2. From the open Kitset, search for any Inactive Products, the ones displaying the red line to the left

3. From the open Kitset, Press [EDIT KITSET] to edit, then Delete the Inactive Product by Pressing the Delete "Bin" of the Product line to be deleted

4. From the open Kitset, Add the new Product by using the Search products... field

5. Press [SAVE] to delete the old Product and add the new Product

⚠️ NOTE: If an Inactive Product is not found, it may be a Branded Kitset and the Inactive Product is in the Brands Section, work across the Brands Tabs to locate the Inactive Product(s).
