How to resolve having two Katipolt Accounts for one Customer

At this time, you cannot merge Customer Accounts on the Katipolt side. One Account needs to be Archived and you need to cease using that Customer Account.

You can merge Customers on the Xero side. This will get all financial transactions to-date on the one Statement.

1. On the Katipolt side: Select the Customer that you want to continue using.

💡 TIP: Select the Customer with the most recent Jobs OR has Live Quotes.

2. On the Katipolt side: Change the Name of the Customer you are NOT going to continue using by adding “Don’t Use” on the end of the Customer’s Name “XXXX Don’t Use”, and Save

3. On the Xero side: Find the Customer on the Xero side that you are not going to continue using and open

4. On the Xero side: Merge the Customer “TO” the Customer you are going to continue using

This will Merge the Customer that you are NOT going to continue using to the Customer that you ARE going to continue using on the Xero side and will archive the Customer Account that you are NOT going to continue using on the Katipolt side.
