This Help Article covers:
General/Overview:
A Sales Invoice or Quote's Default Pricing Rule “Looks Up” to the above setting locations until they find a location where the Price Rule has been “Set” (the uppermost setting being at Company Settings). I.E:
Sales Invoices, Quotes and/or Variations look up to the Job,
Jobs look up to the Customer, and
Customers look up to Company Settings
Once "Set" at a location, this then becomes the Default for Sales Invoices, Quotes and/or Variations at all locations below that.
If the selection text at a settable location is:
Grey - The setting at that location is “Looking Up” to a setting above, and
Black – The setting at that location has been “Set”
⚠️ NOTE: To Create or Edit a Pricing Rule, see the Help Article: "Pricing Rules (Add – Edit)"
⚠️ NOTE: Any Setting/Editing of the Pricing Rule "Above" will not overwrite any "Set" selection(s) below. I.E. you can change the Pricing Rule for a Customer, but if you have already set a Pricing Rule for a Job, that Pricing Rule will not be over-ridden.
💡 TIP: The Default Pricing Rule for a Sales Invoice or Quote can be overridden at the Sales Invoice or Quote at the time of adding.
