This Help Article covers;

Plan Images and Layers are structured to give the best presentation of Plans and Pricing to a Customer.

⚠️ NOTE: It is recommended to set up the structure of the Sections/Plans from the Visbuild Window before attaching the Plans.

⚠️ NOTE: A Section has 1 Price only, so multiple Plans added to a Section roll up as 1 Price. If you want to display a Price for each Plan, you will need to Add a Section for each Plan.

I.E. If you have a house with a Ground Floor and a First Floor and want to display as:

  • 1 Price - Use 1 Section and put both Plans on that Section

  • 2 Prices - Use 2 Sections and put Ground Floor on one Section and First Floor on the other Section

To Structure Plans

Structuring Plans is done using Visbuild’s Sections, Plan Images and/or Layers fields.

Quick Flow:

  • Visbuild Window

  • [Add Section]

  • [Add Plan(s)]

  • [Add Layers]

  • OR

  • Visbuild

  • [Add Section]

  • [Add Plan(s)]

  • [Add Section]

  • [Add Plan(s)]

  • [Add Layers]

⚠️ NOTE: Following Add Quote, you need to do a Save to liven the [OPEN IN VISBUILD] button.

1.  To access Visbuild, Press the [OPEN IN VISBUILD] button  of a Quote Window to open a Visbuild Browser Tab

SECTIONS & PLAN IMAGES

A Section is generally used to give a Price for an area of the Works.  In a Residential Quote it may be “Main House” or “Granny Flat”, OR in a Commercial Quote it may be “Common Services”, “Level 1” or “Level 2” etc.

All Plans of a Section total to give 1 Price on the Quote, so if you want to give 1 Total Price for a House that is 3 Levels (3 Plans) add 1 Section, then add the 3 Plan Images to that Section OR if you want to give a price for each level, add 3 Sections, then add 1 Plan Image to each Section.

View of a House and the “Level Floor” Plans;

In the above example the Residential Dwelling “SECTION 1” is "House", and the “Level” Floor Plans are added as “IMAGES 1, 2, and 3" to the House section.

For the above example, the Katipolt Quote PDF on “Include Plans” can display 3 Plans; “Ground Floor”, “First Floor” and “Second Floor”. but they will be rolled up as 1 price to the Section 1 "House"

How this looks when entered into Visbuild;

To Add a Quote Section/Plan Image

1. From the Visbuild Window, Press the Section/Plan Selector’s Expand More Options Icon and select the option “Add new section/plan” to display the Add Section popup

2. From the Add Section Popup;

  • Enter a Section Name

  • Select a Section Brand (optional)

  • Enter a Plan Name

  • Press [Upload] (Paper Clip) and navigate to the Plan and upload

  • If there are more Plans to upload to the Section Press [+ADD PLAN] then Enter a Plan Name and Press Upload

  • Press the [DONE] button to return to the Visbuild Window

When quoting multiple dwellings, these can be entered as Sections, I.E. Section 1 = “Type ‘A’ Apartment”. Section 2 = “Type ‘B’ Apartment”. If the Apartment has multiple Floor Levels, each “Level” Plan is added to that Apartment’s Section as a “Plan Image”.

Because a Section on the Quote can have multiple quantities, you can add a quantity for the number of “Type ‘A’ Apartments” or number of “Type ‘B’ Apartments”.

To View/Select a Quote Section/Plan

From the Visbuild Window, Press on the Section/Plan Selector's Expand More Options Icon, to display the options, then Press on an option to Select.

To Delete a Quote Section/Plan(s)

The Plan to be deleted may be 1 of multiple Plans of the Section, so open the Section's Edit Section popup to view, then delete the individual Plan or Section and Plan(s) as required. To do this;

  • To delete a Plan - Press the Plan Line's "More" (3 dots) menu then select "Delete plan" and follow the instructions OR

LAYERS

A Layer is generally; for a Trade Item, I.E Lighting, Power, TV/Data, etc

⚠️ NOTE: Layers added flow across all Sections / Plan Images.

2. From the New Layer Popup;

  • Enter a Name for the Layer

  • Press the [DONE] button to return to the Visbuild Window

To View/Select a Section Layer

From the Visbuild Window, Press the Layer Selector's Expand More Options Icon, to display the options, then Press on an option to Select.

💡 TIP: When viewing a Layer, the Kitset Icons of other Layers are visible, however, they display grayed.

To Delete a Layer

To do this, Select the Layer, then Press on the Layer Selector's “More” (3 dots) menu to display the options, then select "Delete layer" and follow the instructions

⚠️ NOTE: Layers go across all Sections/Plans, so when deleting a Layer you may be looking at the Layer on the current Plan, but you are also deleting the Layer for other Sections/Plans and if they contain Kitsets or items, these will also be deleted.
