General/Overview:
Timesheet Leave Hours can be entered from two locations. From the:
Pay Period of Katipolt Desktop's Timesheets Side Menu, OR
Katipolt Mobile App - Entered as a "Leave Request" and "Approved" later by a Desktop User.
This Help Article deals with entering Leave Hours from the Katipolt Desktop. For information on entering from the Katipolt Mobile App, see the Help Article "Katipolt Mobile - Leave Requests"
Timesheet Leave Hours when "Approved" display in the Timesheet's Pay Periods and Reports. I.E. Until "Approved", Leave only displays in the Desktop Leave Window.
Timesheet Hours of a Pay Period (Worked Hours/Approved Leave Hours) populate to a Timesheet Report, which can be downloaded and used for keying hours into Payroll.
⚠️ NOTE: If you have a Xero Payroll API connection, on Approving Leave, the Leave Hours sync to Xero Payroll.
⚠️ NOTE: Because Approving Leave syncs to Xero Payroll at the time of Approving, any Leave displaying in the Pay Period is not synced to Xero Payroll at the time of Locking. If a Staff Member(s) has taken Leave for the full Pay Period, following a Pay Period sync, you may get a message saying there are no Timesheets to sync for that Staff Member(s).
To Enter Leave Hours from Katipolt Desktop
Entering Timesheet Leave Hours into Katipolt Desktop is done from the Leave Top Tab of Katipolt's Side Menu's Timesheets.

Leave Time Details

1. From the Side Menu, Press Timesheets, then Press the Leave Top Tab to display the Leave Window
2. From the Leave Window, Press [+ADD] to display the LEAVE Popup
3. From the LEAVE Popup, Enter Leave Time Details;
Select a Staff Member*
Select a Leave Type*
Enter a Start Date*
Enter an End Date*
Enter a Start Time and End Time (Displays if the Start Date* / End Date* are the same Date)
⚠️ NOTE: The Start Time/End Time fields display if the same Date is entered into the Start Date*/End Date* fields.
💡 TIP: If the Leave taken includes a part-day leave, Enter the Leave as two entries, one entry for the full days and one entry for the part-day.
4. When finished [SAVE]
⚠️ NOTE: On [SAVE], if the Status is displaying "Approved", the Leave will display in the appropriate Timesheets Pay Period, displaying in the selected Staff Member's Expandable Section.
💡 TIP: You can also add Leave from the Pay Period Window by Pressing the "More" (3 dots) menu and Selecting the option "Add Leave", this way you don't need to navigate away from the Pay Period Window.
To Approve/Decline/Edit Leave Hours
Approving/Declining or Editing Leave Hours is done from the Katipolt Desktop's Side Menu's Timesheets > Leave Top Tab.
💡 TIP: Unapproved Leave Requests display as a "count" on the Side Menu's Timesheets

"More" (3 dots) menu > "Approve", "Decline", or "Edit" Option
1. From the Side Menu, Press Timesheets, then Press the Leave Top Tab to display any Pending Leave Requests, then from the Leave Request Line, Press the "More" (3 dots) menu and Select the option "Approve", "Decline", or "Edit"
⚠️ NOTE: Selecting [Edit] will display the LEAVE popup where the Dates/Times can be edited and then Approved.
To Decline/Edit Approved Leave Hours
The Default Filter for Leave is "Pending", Clear the "Pending" Filter to display and access Approved Leave

[SAVE]
1. From the Side Menu, Press Timesheets, then Press the Leave Top Tab to display any Pending Leave Requests, then Press the X of the Status: Pending filter to clear and display the Approved Leave
2. From the Approved Leave line, Press the "More" (3 dots) menu and Select the option "Decline" or "Edit"
💡 TIP: If "Edit" is Selected, the Leave popup displays, then change the Status to "Pending" OR "Declined":
Pending - Allows you to Edit the Dates or Times
Declined - Declines the Approved Leave
3. When finished, Press [SAVE]
