General/Overview:
Using Roles and their Permissions, you can control the features that a Staff Member can view or use for their Access Level (Katipolt Desktop and/or Katipolt Mobile App).
Katipolt has two Master Default Roles:
Katipolt Mobile - A Default Role that can be assigned to a Staff Member when adding, basic Mobile Permissions toggled "On" with NO Desktop Permissions toggled "On"
Katipolt Desktop - A Default Role that can be assigned to a Staff Member when giving them Access Level Desktop, basic Mobile Permissions toggled "On" and most Desktop Permissions toggled "On"
⚠️ NOTE: As Master Default Roles, the toggles are greyed and cannot be edited, only have Staff Members assigned/unassigned to/from the Role.
New Roles can be added to suit your requirements, Permissions can be toggled "On"/"Off" to meet the Role's requirements, then Staff Members assigned to that Role, allowing or restricting what features they can view and/or use.
Each Role has two tabs for the two different Access Level Permissions:
Katipolt - Katipolt Desktop Permissions, and
Katipolt Mobile - Katipolt Mobile App Permissions
⚠️ NOTE: If a User has Access Level "Katipolt Mobile Only", then only the permissions of the "Katipolt Mobile" Tab apply. If the User has Access Level "Katipolt and Katipolt Mobile", the permissions of both the "Katipolt" and "Katipolt Mobile" Tabs apply. 💡 TIP: A Role can be assigned to a Staff Member from that Staff Member's Profile Window, OR a Staff Member can be assigned to a Role from that Role.
⚠️ NOTE: The "Primary Contact" for the Katipolt Account always has access to Company Settings, so can access Roles to make changes to theirs, or any Staff Member's Role.
To Add a Role/Permission Levels
Quick Flow:
Company Settings Side Menu
Staff Top Tab
Roles Expandable Section
[+ADD]
Role Name
Assigned To
Katipolt and/or Katipolt Mobile Acess Level Tab
Permissions toggle "On"/"Off" to allow/restrict
[SAVE]
1. From the Side Menu, Press Company Settings, then Press the Staff Top Tab to display the Roles Expandable Section
2. From the Roles Expandable Section, Press [+ADD] to display the New Role Popup
3. From the New Role Popup;
Enter a "Role Name*",
From the Assigned To dropdown, Select Staff Member(s) to add to the Role,
Select Katipolt and/or Katipolt Mobile Access Level,
For the selected Access Level, Toggle options "On"/"Off" to allow/restrict Permissions Levels to a Katipolt feature
When finished [SAVE]
⚠️ NOTE: A Staff Member can only be assigned to 1 Role.
To Assign/Edit a Role/Permission Levels from a Staff Member
From a Staff Member's Profile Window's Role* field, Press the:
Dropdown options icon - to Assign or Change a Role. OR
Pencil - to Edit the current Role
⚠️ NOTE: When Editing the Current Role, any Permission changes to that Role will apply to ALL Staff assigned to that Role.
