Introduction / Overview
If you have connected Katipolt with Xero you have the ability to sync leave requests and timesheets to Xero.
NOTE: this is a one-way sync and any changes made in Xero will not be reflected in Katipolt.
Setup
From the Katipolt main menu select Company Settings > Connected Apps > Click on your Xero connected app.
Tick to enable leave syncing and timesheet syncing and then press Save.
After the save is complete go to the Payroll tab and map your employees in Xero with your employees in Katipolt
You can then proceed to map any Xero earning rates as you see fit to your Katipolt timesheet codes. Note that if you leave these blank it will default to the standard earning rate for that employee as configured in Xero.
Finally you can map your Xero leave types to your Katipolt leave timesheet codes
After you have completed the mapping you can press Save.
If you enabled timesheet syncing you will now be presented with the option to sync a pay period to Xero when you lock it. This will sync the timesheets for any users you have provided a mapping for into Xero.
If you have enabled leave syncing any approved leave requests will automatically sync to Xero when they are approved. You can view the Xero sync status on the leave list. As with the timesheet sync this is a one way sync and changes in Xero will not be reflected in Katipolt.
