How to use the send Email compose pane

This Help Article covers:

Sending emails is done from the Document Preview pane of the Document to be sent OR from the "Emails" Expandable Section of a Correspondence Top Tab of a Customer, Job, Quote, or Sales Window.

The Email compose pane

Email Template button – Used to select a Customer/Document Email Template.

[ATTACHMENTS] button - Used to attach files.

  • [Attach new file] option – Browse to somewhere on your computer to add a file as an attachment.

  • [Browse existing files] option – Browse to a Katipolt saved/stored file to add a file as an attachment.

[SEND] button – Sends the Email.

Replies will be sent to...” toggle – Toggle between you (the logged-in User), and the entered Company Settings “Account Email”. Press USE OFFICE EMAIL OR USE MY EMAIL to change.

To*” field – When sending a Document, auto populates with the Contact’s selected Primary Contact for the type of Document: Quote, Order, or Sales (Billing).

Cc” field – Auto populates if a Sales Document and the Customer has a person ticked as “Include in Billing Emails” OR enter in an email address.

Subject” field – When sending a Document, auto populates with the Document name OR enter in a subject.

Body*” field – When sending a Document, will display with the selected Default Email wording set at Company Settings for the type of Document see the Help Article "Email Settings (Enter-Edit)" OR enter/edit in your own body wording.

Send me (xxxxxxx) a copy” tickbox– If ticked will send a copy to you (the logged in User).

"Attachments" section– Displays any email attachment(s).

Where to find Sent emails

Emails sent from a Document Preview pane display in the Emails Expandable Section of the Correspondence Top Tab of the Window it was previewed and sent from (Quote, Order, Purchase, Sale) AND in the Emails Expandable Section of the Correspondence Top Tab of the Job the Document relates to.

All emails sent from Katipolt display in the Side Menu's More > "Emails" option's List View. From here you can search for an email using the Filter Search feature.
