⚠️ NOTE: To connect Katipolt to Xero Payroll you need to have a Xero API Connection, for more information on this see the Help Article "Connected Apps - Xero (first connection)"

Following the connection to Xero, from the CONNECTED APP: XERO (XXXX) Window's Details Top Tab, Scroll to the bottom to the "Xero Payroll Settings" Section, then Tick "Enable leave syncing to Xero" and/or "Enable timesheets syncing to Xero" to display the Payroll Top Tab.

💡 TIP: "Enable leave syncing to Xero" exports Leave Requests to Xero Payroll when Approved in Katipolt.

💡 TIP: "Enable timesheets syncing to Xero" displays an option to sync a pay period's Timesheet entries to Xero when locking the Pay Period.

💡 TIP: You can Sync Pay Periods to Xero with all Xero’s “Earning Categories” for a Staff Member aggregated together as one Line for the Day. When setting up the Xero Payroll Settings, Tick “Aggregate timesheets when sending to Xero”.

1. From the CONNECTED APP: XERO (XXXX) Window, Press the Payroll Top Tab to display the "Staff Mapping" Expandable Section

2. From the "Staff Mapping" Expandable Section, work down the "Katipolt Staff Member" List, Pressing the "Xero Employee" dropdown options icon of the line to display a list of the Xero Employees, then Select a "Xero Employee" to map the "Katipolt Staff Member" to

⚠️ NOTE: Following the first connection, further Katipolt Staff Members added to Katipolt will need to be entered into Xero Payroll as a Xero Employee, then the new Katipolt Staff Member mapped to the new Xero Employee.

2. From the "Timesheet Code Mapping" Expandable Section, work down the "Description" List, Pressing the "Xero Code" dropdown options icon of the line to display a list of the Xero Codes, then Select a "Xero Code" to map the Katipolt "Description" to

⚠️ NOTE: Following the first connection, further Timesheet Codes added to Katipolt will need to be mapped to an existing Xero Timesheet Code, OR a new Xero Timesheet Code entered into Xero Payroll and the new Katipolt Timesheet Code mapped to that.
