Visbuild - Overview

An overview of the Visbuild Window and its Features

General/Overview:

Visbuild is Katipolt’s dedicated Visual Quote Builder where the User can Upload or Drag & Drop a Plan, then Drag & Drop Kitset Icons onto the plan to build a Quote.

⚠️ NOTE: Items added to the Plan can be deleted by Pressing on the item(s) to highlight, then either Press your Keyboard's "Delete" key or Right-Click on the item(s) and Select Delete.

To Launch Visbuild

Launching Visbuild is done from Katipolt's Quote Window by pressing the [OPEN IN VISBUILD] button to launch the Visbuild Browser Tab.

⚠️ NOTE: Following the adding of a new Quote, you need to do a [SAVE] to liven the [OPEN IN VISBUILD] button.

Quick Flow;

  • QUOTE: XXXX Window,

  • If a new Quote > [SAVE],

  • [OPEN IN VISBUILD]

1. From the Quote Window, Press the [OPEN IN VISBUILD] button to open a Visbuild Browser Tab

This is where Plans are Dragged & Dropped to Upload, or displayed, and where Kitset Icons are Dragged & Dropped to build the Quote.

B – Kitset Libraries Panel

Press the required Kitset Library Category to expand the Library and display the Kitset Icons available for use.

To Show/Hide the Kitsets Library Panel:

C – Section/Plan Selector & Autosave button

Press the Section/Plan Selector Drop-down to display/select the Plan to work on, OR Press the [+] Icon to Add new Section/Plan, OR Press the Pencil Icon to Edit or Delete a Section.

To Show/Hide the Sections/Plans Dropdown:

To Toggle Autosave "On"/"Off":

⚠️ NOTE: Autosave does not activate until Visbuild has been sitting idle for a short time (approx 1 minute), I.E. if you are using Visbuild continuously without a break to build your Quote, the Autosave will not be activated, so take a break or manually save Visbuild regularly to ensure your work is saved.

D – Layer Selector

Press the Layer Selector Pop-up to display/select the Layer to work on, OR Press the Layer Selector ”More” (3 dots) menu to Add, Edit, or Delete a Layer.

To Show/Hide the Layers Pop-up:

E - Tools & Options Selector

Press a Tool or the Options dropdown to access the array of Katipolt Tools and features, see the "Visbuild Tools & Options" Section below for further information.

F – Properties Panel

Displays additional properties/editing available for the Tool/Feature selected.

To Show/Hide the Properties Panel:

G - Scaler

Press on the Scaler dropdown to capture a scale or Edit a Captured Scale for the Plan you are viewing.

Visbuild Tools & Options

Visbuild has an array of Tools and Options to assist with Plan Layouts and creating Quotes. For more information on Visbuild Tools and Options, see the Help Article "Visbuild - Tools and Options".

TOOLS

PointerReset button, cancels any Tool selection and returns the User to normal “Drag & Drop” functionality

Line – Used for joining elements with a line to display relationships

Stamp – Used for Stamping a selected Kitset Icon on a Plan (multiple dropping)

Text – Used to place a Text Box on the Plan

Quote Line – Used to place a Quote Line on the Plan (a "Kitset" for "this Quote only")

Symbol Match - Used to select a Plan Symbol to match with a Kitset and bulk populate Kitsets

Pan - Used to move the Plan around the Main Window

OPTIONS

Undo/Redo – Undoes and redoes the last action(s) back to the last [SAVE]

Copy/Cut/Paste – Copy or Cut the highlighted item(s) then Paste

Group/Ungroup – Groups elements for moving, Copying/Cutting & Pasting

Delete – Deletes the highlighted item(s)

Zoom – Used to zoom in/out on the Plan

Grid & Drawing Boundaries - Displays a Grid/Drawing Boundaries to assist with element placement

Show Pricing - Displays the current Quote price on the Visbuild Window

Shortcuts – Displays a list of the Shortcut keys for the Keyboard/Mouse

Additional Element Info – Displays additional info on elements

Icon/Text Size - Used to increase/decrease Icons/Text

Alignment/Space – Used to align/space elements (Displays in Properties Panel when elements are selected)
