To manage Bookings efficiently, you need to know where the Vehicles, Staff and Bookings are. The Katipolt Map, if used correctly can provide you with the Information.
The Katipolt Map can display where Vehicles are at the time of looking at the map.
⚠️ NOTE: As Katipolt uses EROAD for vehicle map locations, you will need a valid EROAD Account and Katipolt API connection to see Vehicle geographical locations. For more information on the EROAD API Connection, see the Help Article: "Connected Apps - EROAD (First Connection)"
The Katipolt Map can display where Staff Members were when they last opened their Katipolt Mobile App.
The Katipolt Map can display where Bookings are on any selected day.
Selecting a Staff Member of the "Staff" List of the Map will map a route to all their Bookings for the selected Day that have a current valid NZ Post Address, in the order that Bookings are scheduled, quickly highlighting overlaps or inefficient Booking scheduling.
⚠️ NOTE: Booking Job Site/Addresses that are forced in, I.E. Lot Numbers of a new subdivision that have not been entered into NZ Post's database will not display the Booking on the map, nor have the route mapped.
To Launch the Map
⚠️ NOTE: For a User to access and launch the Desktop Map, they need to be assigned a Katipolt Role that has “View All Map Resources” toggled “On”.
The Katipolt Desktop Map is located on the Katipolt Side Menu’s “More” options, “Map” Sub-Options.

This is where the Map displays, displaying the geographical locations of Vehicles, Staff, and Bookings for the Selected Day
B – Vehicles List
Press on a Vehicle to highlight the Vehicle's geographical location on the Map
⚠️ NOTE: Vehicle geographical location will only display if you have an EROAD Account and a Katipolt/EROAD API Connection.
C – Staff List
Press on a Staff Member to highlight the Staff Member's geographical location on the Map
⚠️ NOTE: The Staff Member's geographical location will display the last location the Staff Member opened their Katipolt Mobile App.
💡 TIP: Pressing on a Staff Member will map a route from "Booking" to "Booking" in the order Bookings are scheduled for that person, for the Selected Day.
💡 TIP: The Staff Member's Tab of the "Staff " List will display the last Address and the Time their Katipolt Mobile App was last opened.
D – Bookings Day Selector
Press on the Calendar Icon to display the calendar picker and pick a day to display that day’s Bookings on the Map
E – Bookings
Press on a Booking to highlight that Bookings geographical location on the Map
Map Tools & Options
The Map has an array of Tools & Options to assist with the display and use.
Toggle fullscreen view - View the Map full-screen
Settings - Used to set the features you want displayed on the Map
Zoom to fit - Sizes view to display all displayed features
Zoom in & Zoom out - Used to enlarge or decrease the view of the Map
Keyboard shortcuts - A list of shortcut keys used to navigate around the Map
Toggle fullscreen view
Press the "Toggle fullscreen view" icon to view the Map full-screen, Repress to return to normal view (or Press the "Esc" key)

Press the "Settings" icon to toggle "On"/"Off" to Display/Not display features;

Staff
Vehicles
Zoom to fit
Press the “Zoom to fit” icon to resize the Map to show all instances of the selected feature(s)
Zoom in, Zoom out
Press [+] or [-] icon to Zoom in or Zoom out of the Map
Keyboard shortcuts
Press [Keyboard shortcuts] to view the Keyboard shortcuts legend
To Enable Fleet Management
Katipolt Map uses EROAD for Vehicle map locations. You will need a valid EROAD Account and Katipolt API connection to see Vehicle geographical locations. For more information on the Katipolt/EROAD API Connection, see the Help Article: "Connected Apps - EROAD (First Connection)"
To Enable Staff Tracking
Katipolt Map uses the Katipolt Mobile App's last opened position for Staff map locations.
For Staff Tracking to display, the Katipolt Mobile App needs "Locations" set to an option that allows location access.
1. From a Staff Member's Profile Page, Scroll down to the "Location Tracking Level" field and Select option "Foreground", then Press [SAVE]
⚠️ NOTE: As Katipolt “Maps” uses the last location the Staff Member opened the Katipolt Mobile App, on selecting “Foreground”, the Staff Member will not display in the Staff List of Maps until the next time they open their Katipolt Mobile App.
2. Tick "Enforce Tracking", if the Staff Member's Katipolt Mobile App's "Locations" is not set to an option that enables location access, when the Katipolt Mobile App is opened the User will be prompted to enable this
