Katipolt Users can use any of three methods of authentication when logging in:
Katipolt Account,
Google Account, and
Microsoft Account
Katipolt Account, Google Account, and Microsoft Account have different ways of logging-in following the changing of, and the verification of a new Email Username.
To Change Staff Email Username
Quick Flow:
Staff Member Profile Window
Edit Email
Email Address > Enter new email
[CONFIRM]
1. From the Staff Member Profile Window, Press the Edit Email Launcher of the Email* field to display the "Change staff email" popup
2. From the "Change staff email" popup, Enter the new Email Address, then Press [CONFIRM] to trigger the sending of a verification email to the new Username email, and return you to the Staff Profile Window
The Staff Profile Window’s Email* field will display “Email (Pending Verification)”, and a banner will display confirming a verification email has been sent to verify the changes
To Verify Staff Email Username Change
Following the changing of the Email Username on a Staff Member's Profile Window and Pressing [CONFIRM], a Verification Email will be sent to the Staff Member's new Email Username to verify the change
Open the Verification Email and Press “Verify request”, a confirmation Window will display confirming verification was successful
To log in using Katipolt Account
When changing an Email Username, if logging in using Katipolt Account, the Staff Member can log in using the new Email Username, and the Password remains the same.
To log in using Google Account
If logging in using the Google Account "Continue with Google", the Staff Member on the first log-in with the new email Username needs to create a new Katipolt Google Account for the new Username.
To log in using Microsoft Account
If logging in using the Microsoft Account "Continue with Microsoft", the Staff Member on the first log-in with the new email Username needs to create a new Katipolt Microsoft Account for the new Username.
To Remove a Staff Email Username
Removing a Staff Email Username, so you can use the email address for another Staff Member, is the same process as "To Change Staff Email Username" documented above, however, if the Staff Member is not going to be using Katipolt again, you need to replace the Staff Email Username email with another email address that you are able to receive emails from so you can press the [Verify request] button to verify the change.
A solution for this is a disposable temporary email generation site that can generate a temporary email which can be used for this, an example of one being: https://temp-mail.org/en/
⚠️ NOTE: If the Staff Member has been made Inactive, they will need to be ticked Active again to enable the Email Username to be changed.
