Generally, adding a Product from the Katipolt Mobile App is a way of allocating Product to the Job used from "Stock" or "Van Stock", I.E. any Purchases, when the Purchase Invoice is received, will be assigned to the Job and do not need their Products added from the Mobile App.
There are two types of Products that can be added from the Katipolt Mobile App:
"Code Known" - Products entered on the Katipolt Desktop side to a Supplier and can be found on a Search, and
"Code Unknown" OR "Not Found" - Products NOT entered on the Katipolt Desktop side and can't be found on a Search, entered as an Ad-hoc Product using a "Description"
When adding Product "Code Known", the screen displays an initial List of Products:
"Favourites" - Products marked as "Favourites" from the Katipolt Desktop side, and
"Recents" - Products recently added to a Job from the Mobile App by the User
If the Product wanted is not in the "Favourites" or "Recents", the User can Search All Products "Code Known"
To Enable a User to Add Products to Job
For a User to be able to Add Products to a Job, the User needs to be enabled on the Katipolt Desktop side. To do this, they need to be added to a Katipolt Mobile Role with permission “Add Products to Job” toggled "On".
Company Settings > Staff Top Tab > Roles Expandable Section > Select a Role that displays Katipolt Mobile “Add Products to Job” toggled "On" OR from a Role toggle it "On" > then select the person from the “Assigned To” dropdown to add.
To mark a Product as a "Favourite"
To have a Product display in the Favourites List on the Mobile App, it needs to be marked as a "Favourite" on the Katipolt Desktop side.
💡 TIP: Products displaying a Yellow Star are "Favourite" Products.
1. From the Katipolt Desktop's Side Menu, Press Products to display the Products List View, then Press the Star of a Product Tile or Line
⚠️ NOTE: Pressing a Product's Yellow Star removes it from "Favourites".
To Add Product "Code Known", "Code Unknown" OR "Not Found"
1. From the Job Screen, Tap the [Add Product] button to launch the Add Product Popup
2. From the Add Product Popup selector, either:
Tap the Product field to Select OR Search a "Code Known" product and add, OR
Enter a Description* into the Description* field for a "Code Unknown" OR "Not Found" product
Then from the Add Product Popup, Enter a Quantity if required and Tap [ADD PRODUCT] to add the Product to the List.
💡 TIP: If searching for a "Code Known" Product, and it is "Not Found", Tap "Set 'XXX' as Description" to return to the Add Product Popup and Enter the Product as an Ad-Hoc Product.
💡 TIP: If you want to load more than one Product at a time, Tap the [+ADD] button of the List to display the “Add Product” Popup selector again.
3. When you have loaded the Product(s) you want to upload, Tap [SAVE] to upload the Product List
To View/Edit Products
1. Swipe Up to Scroll to the bottom of the Job Screen, then Tap [VIEW ALL] of "Products" to see the Entered Products as a List
2. From the Product List, Tap on the Product to display the Edit Product Screen
3. Edit as required, then Tap [SAVE]
To Delete a Product
1. Swipe Up to Scroll to the bottom of the Job Screen, then Tap [VIEW ALL] to see the Entered Products as a List
2. From the Product List, Tap on the Product to display the Edit Product Screen
3. From the Edit Product Screen, Tap the “More” (3 dots) menu to display the Delete button, then Tap to Delete
⚠️ NOTE: You can only Delete the Product(s) that you have added. I.E. Products added by another User from their device will not display the "More" (3 dots) menu.
